Capture the “Anytime” in you

I have been married now to the love of my life for over eight years. It just seems like yesterday that we said “I DO,” that’s how fast time goes by! It was so nice to hang out on Saturday with Tiffany and her husband Joseph who are coming up on their first year wedding anniversary. We went out to an amazing location where cows and animals flocked near, but no worries, we were still able to have fun and capture the love that is truly visible between the two. It’s so refreshing to see that even after their wedding day they would still have the desire to capture their love and document their story for years to come. You don’t have to have a special event, family gathering, or an over the top photo session to capture the “anytime,” in you. I always say, capture the moments whether big or small, because you’ll want to remember them all!

Wardrobe Wednesday {Trendy and beautiful}

It’s time for another great installment of Wardrobe Wednesday. This week’s selection is brought to you by Erica May of Erica May Photography.

She says “”This week I went with a Blue theme since it is my favorite color and it looks great against many different backgrounds. This could be used as an idea for a couples session, a family session, or a sibling session. The shoes can easily be changed out if you already have ones that work too. For dad I added a hat but it could also be used for the little boy if dad is not a fan of hats =). When thinking about coordinating outfits I always start with one color (for this instance it was blue) and go from there. Hope you enjoy it!”

Whether it’s great textures, color, or props; having your wardrobe blend well makes for a fabulous and well thought out photograph. Also, don’t forget to bring your smiles!

Alexis and Tj {Charlottesville, VA}

Love is one of the greatest things I love to capture. It’s so true, emotional, and amazing. Love will shine through any story or magical day if it remains true and unique to you. Alexis and TJ were a beautiful couple to capture as they are are so true to one another. They are simple, quiet, and sparkle when together. No love will ever be the same as the last, and that’s why I dream of endless stories to be captured through my lens. It was a beautiful day in Charlottesville and the fun didn’t stop at the chapel. It went on into the night with grand entrances, dancing, and lots of laughing…It was a beautiful wedding create by beautiful people and love that sparkled!

Wardrobe Wednesday {how easy it is}

Wardrobe Wednesday is one of my favorite post of the week. I have looked forward to all week showing you some wonderful ideas for wardrobe choices and how simply it can be to put together an outfit for any photo session. Just like last week’s edition, our team has come together to give you some amazing tips and tricks in preparing you for your family photo session.

I am in love with beautiful colors and this weeks Wardrobe Wednesday give some great tips on incorporating color into your family photo. Also this week the fabulous Jennifer Minor of Minor Impressions decided to take a spin and put together an outfit that suits beautifully for a maternity photo session.

Jennifer say “Normally I suggest to my clients that for family photo sessions, the wardrobe should revolve around the kiddos. I usually pick out one outfit (normally the little girl’s) that brings together everyone else’s attire. This week is a little different though because I decided to pick a wardrobe for a maternity session. Of course, this revolves around the mama, so everything I picked out was made to go with the her outfit. The great thing about this plaid shirt is that there are so many colors to choose from for the kiddos and the dad to match, and just like last week’s suggestion, you still have a great wardrobe even if you only have the dad (or boy or girl) and mom in the picture.”
